Qualifiers for the championship in Malmö were held from September 11 to 16. Eight participants fought for the only European invite to the tournament with a prize of $ 250,000.
Teams fought in the double-elimination grid. Mousesports defeated FATE Esports in the quarter finals, GamerLegion in the semifinals and defeated CR4ZY in both the top finals and the grand finals. Ropz and his allies were defeated in only one map throughout the qualification: the team could not stand the pressure of CR4ZY on Dust 2, which was played in the final of the upper bracket.
DreamHack Masters Malmo 2019 will be held from October 1 to 6 in Sweden. The venue for the playoffs will be Malmo Arena, and the prize pool, which will be divided between the teams, will be a quarter of a million dollars. Earlier, Grayhound Gaming and TYLOO went through qualifications. OpTic Gaming, in turn, got the opportunity to speak at a major championship thanks to a victory at DreamHack Open Summer 2019.
