In 2010, HLTV began to make their tops of the best players of the year. The leader of the first of them is the Ukrainian legendary sniper Yegor 'markeloff' Markelov, who represented NAVI. After 8 years, the Natus Vincere tag again appeared at the top of the list of the best players, but this time another star player, Alexander 's1mple' Kostylev, became the representative of NAVI. In the race for first place, he overtook Danish Astralis player, Nicolas 'dev1ce' Reedtz.

Until January 20, HLTV representatives will reveal the next line in the list of the best players of 2019 until they reach the 1st place.
