Don't miss out on the IEM Katowice 2020 qualifications starting this week!

On January 7, three selection processes will begin immediately within the framework of IEM Katowice 2020: the second European open qualification, the North American closed qualifying round and Asian kwal. If the European open qualifier ends on January 8, the qualifiers in North America and Asia will come to an end on the 9th.

From January 9 to 10, matches will be held in the framework of the closed European qualification. According to its results, by the way, the three best participants will receive invitations to IEM Katowice 2020. In North America and Asia, only one invite will be played.

Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2020 will be held from February 25 to March 1 in Katowice, Poland. The venue for the final matches will traditionally be the Spodek Arena. 16 teams will take part in the division of the total prize pool of $ 500,000. Three of them are already known: Fnatic, Astralis and mousesports will attend the tournament as winners of DreamHack Masters Malmo 2019, IEM Beijing 2019 and ESL Pro League Season 10 FInals, respectively. Another seven slots will be occupied by teams that will receive direct invitations from the organizers of the championship. The remaining six quotas will be distributed among the best participants in closed selections. Europeans will receive three invites, while for North America, Oceania and Asia, one invitation was allocated. The winner of IEM Katowice 2020 will be the owner of a large prize of $ 250,000.
