Dota 2 Team Rankings 2025 – EGamersWorld Rating System
This page presents the official EGamersWorld ranking of professional Dota 2 teams for the 2025 season. The list reflects team performance in international and regional events, with scores calculated through our internal EGW Rating system.
Unlike static lists or manually curated placements, this ranking is based on objective performance indicators across multiple tournament tiers.
How Is the EGW Dota 2 Team Rating Calculated?
To ensure consistency and fairness, the EGW rating algorithm incorporates data from various competitive levels. Teams accumulate points based on four weighted factors:
- Tournament tier – Events are classified as S, A, B, or C depending on structure, prize pool, and level of competition. You can explore relevant Dota 2 events to see which tournaments contribute to the rankings.
- Match outcomes – Results are assessed not just by win/loss, but by opponent difficulty, bracket progression, and match format.
- Roster stability – Teams with stable lineups receive higher rating weight for consistency across events. Frequent changes reduce the long-term value of older results.
- Recency of results – Newer results have more impact than outdated performances. This ensures the rankings reflect current form, not historical success.
Scores are recalculated multiple times per week using verified data from tournament platforms and match archives.
What Makes EGW Rankings Unique?
The EGW rating system is an automated, data-driven model that evaluates teams without human bias. It aggregates performance from matches played across all tiers and regions, applying consistent weightings for opponent strength, match type, and event significance.
Any team — whether well-known or newly formed — can enter the rankings if they achieve sufficient results. This open structure allows for dynamic movement and rewards actual performance over name recognition.
Ranking Scope
We are focused on covering Dota 2 teams from all around the globe and teams of different levels of play. That’s why our ranking covers teams from all major Dota 2 regions:
- Western and Eastern Europe
- China
- Southeast Asia and South America
- North America
Each listed team includes its EGW score, momentum trend, last notable result, and full profile. Match data used to determine score trends is based on confirmed Dota 2 matches, including both online and LAN performances.
Inactive teams are removed from the list until they return to competition with updated rosters and results.
Why Should You Use EGW's Dota 2 Team Rankings?
This ranking model offers a transparent, structured view of competitive performance. It’s especially useful for:
- Fans tracking team momentum across regions
