INTZ and Riot Squad Esports qualified for IEM Katowice 2020
Ihor MatusINTZ and Riot Squad became the first participants in the closed North American Quals at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2020. Two more participants will be identified today through a second open qualification.
Closed selections for North America will be held January 7–9 in the online format. They will play one invite to the LAN-finals of IEM Katowice 2020.
Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2020 will be held from February 25 to March 1 in Katowice, Poland. The venue for the playoffs will traditionally be Spodek Arena, and the championship’s total prize pool will be $ 500,000. For the main cash prize of $ 250,000, 16 participants will compete, 3 of which are already known. Fnatic earned an invite by winning DreamHack Masters Malmo 2019, Astralis got an invite after a triumph at IEM Beijing 2019, and mousesports were invited after their stunning victory at the ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals.
