In a few hours, ESL Pro League Season 15 will start. At the championship, which will be held from March 9 to April 10 in Dusseldorf, 24 teams will compete for a prize pool of $823,000. Over the next month, the best teams in the world will show bright CS, for which you should thoroughly prepare. In this regard, we offer you to get acquainted with the format of the event, schedule, participants, distribution of the prize pool and other information that you need to know before the start of ESL Pro League Season 15.

Format of ESL Pro League Season 15

The tournament will start with a group stage, which will be held in a round robin format with BO3 matches. There are six participants in each group, three of which will go to the playoffs. While the teams that take the first places in their groups will go directly to the quarterfinals of the competition, the teams ranked from 2nd to 3rd lines will start their journey from the first round of the playoffs.

Group A (March 9-14):

Group B (March 16-21):

  • vitality.
  • Outsiders (Virtus.pro).
  • FaZe Clan.

Group C (March 23-28):

  • BIG.
  • Movistar Riders.

Group D (March 30 - April 3):

The playoffs of ESL Pro League Season 15 will be held from 5 to 10 April. All matches, with the exception of the Grand Final, will be played in BO3 format. In turn, the decisive confrontation will take place in the BO5 format.

Prize pool distribution

  • 1st place — $175,000 + 1,300 ESL Pro Tour points + 2,800 BLAST Premier points + place at BLAST Premier World Final 2022.
  • 2nd place — $70,000 + 1,000 ESL Pro Tour points + 1,400 BLAST Premier points.
  • 3rd-4th place — $35,000 + 780 ESL Pro Tour points + 875 BLAST Premier points.
  • 5th-8th place — $17,500 + 485 ESL Pro Tour points + 265 BLAST Premier points.
  • 9th-12th place — $12,000 + 250 ESL Pro Tour points.
  • 13th-16th place (4th place in the group) — $9,000 + 120 ESL Pro Tour points.
  • 17th-20th place (5th place in the group) — $7,500 + 100 ESL Pro Tour points.
  • 21st-24th place (6th place in the group) — $6,000 + 70 ESL Pro Tour points.

In addition, teams will receive $5,000 for each victory in the group stage of the championship.

Latest news from the camp of teams

Note that at the time of publication of the material, the fate of the Gambit players is unclear. Recall that earlier the organizers banned the organization from participating in the championship because of its connection with the Russian Government. At the same time, ESL allowed players to play under a neutral status, which was previously done by Virtus.pro players.
