PGL Announce First Participants of PGL Astana 2026

Tournament organizer PGL announced the list of teams that will participate in PGL Astana 2026 through its official account on X. The post revealed the teams that have already confirmed their participation in the upcoming event, which will bring together top teams from the Counter-Strike 2 scene.

The teams that have accepted the invitations are:

  • PARIVISION
  • Team Falcons
  • Team Spirit
  • G2 Esports
  • The MongolZ
  • MOUZ
  • FURIA
  • Aurora Gaming
  • HEROIC
  • Gentle Mates
  • Monte
  • FUT Esports

Another four teams will secure their spots through regional qualifiers. The qualifiers will take place in four regions: Europe, North America, South America, and Asia, with one team from each region advancing to the main event. This will bring the total number of participants in the tournament to 16 teams.

PGL Astana 2026 will take place from May 9 to May 17, 2026, in the capital of Kazakhstan — Astana. The event will feature teams from different regions competing for a significant prize pool.

The total prize pool of the tournament is $1.6 million. Half of the amount — $800,000 — will be distributed among the teams, while another $800,000 is allocated to the organizations. The tournament winner will receive $256,000 for the team and an additional $256,000 for the organization for first place.
