Aurora team overview
Aurora Gaming is a young but ambitious esports organization founded in August 2022 in Serbia. Despite its short existence, Aurora has already made a name for itself on the international stage by competing in various disciplines, with Aurora Dota 2 being one of the team’s most recognized lineups, alongside participation in titles such as Counter-Strike 2, Apex Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Warcraft III.
Aurora history
Aurora burst onto the CS:GO scene with a Russian-speaking roster. At the time, the team was considered a mid-tier Tier-2 squad, and the organization frequently changed players, remaining far from reaching Tier-1 status. However, in April 2025, the team signed the Turkish lineup of Eternal Fire, which included XANTARES, woxic, and other players well-known not only in Turkey but internationally as well. Following this decision, participation in Tier-1 tournaments became a guaranteed reality for the Aurora organization.
Aurora Founders
While the specific individuals who founded Aurora Gaming have not been publicly disclosed, several key figures have played significant roles in the organization's development:
- Lee "SunBhie" Jeong-jae: A renowned Dota 2 coach from South Korea, SunBhie joined Aurora Gaming in early 2024. He previously coached teams like Team Secret and Fnatic, achieving notable successes including three major tournament wins and seven consecutive appearances at The International from 2016 to 2023.
- Alexander "Wh1te" Sokolov: Initially brought on as the Apex Legends coach in 2022, Sokolov was later promoted to general manager of Aurora Gaming. He played a pivotal role in expanding the organization's presence across various esports titles.
These individuals have been instrumental in shaping Aurora Gaming's strategic direction and competitive success across multiple esports disciplines.
Aurora Initial Roster
The debut roster of Aurora Gaming was announced on August 31, 2022, and included the following players:

- İsmailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş — a Turkish professional Counter-Strike 2 player who has been competing for Aurora Gaming since 2025. Known for his incredible accuracy and aggressive playstyle, he is rightfully considered one of the best players in Turkish esports history.
- Özgür "woxic" Eker — a Turkish professional Counter-Strike 2 player competing for Aurora, known for his lightning-fast reaction and aggressive playstyle. Born on September 2, 1998, in Turkey, he began his career in 2015, playing for various Turkish teams, including Dark Passage and HellRaisers.
