BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023 will start very soon - the first big championship in the new competitive season. Twelve partner teams will fight for six spots in the spring finals, as well as the first points in the BLAST Premier table. There is enough intrigue as many teams will bring newcomers to the studio in Copenhagen and test the updated lineups for the first time. In the meantime, the participants are collecting their thoughts, we offer to get acquainted with the format of the event, the participants and the distribution of the prize fund of the championship.

Format of BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023

The championship will be divided into two stages:

  • Group stage: January 19-26
  • Play-In: January 27-29

The group stage of BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023 has undergone some changes compared to the previous season. First of all, the organizers returned to the BO3 match format. However, the system of quartets remained unchanged - a draw with a double elimination without the risk of being relegated from the championship.

The winners of each group will receive tickets to the BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2023. The teams that lose in the final of their quartets will go to the final of the Play-In stage, while the 3rd and 4th teams from each group will go to the first round of the Play-In.

The winners of the Play-In final matches will also qualify for BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2023, while the remaining participants will be forced to go to the Showdown.

BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023 will be held from January 19 to 29 in Copenhagen. As part of the competition, 12 partner teams will compete for a prize pool of $177,498, ranking points, as well as six tickets to the BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2023.

  • 1st-3rd place: $27,500 + 2,400 points + slot to BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2023
  • 4th-6th place: $17,500 + 1,200 points + slot to BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2023
  • 7th-9th place: $8,500 + 900 points + slot at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023
  • 10th-12th place: $5,666 + 600 points + slot at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023
