What we expect from BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022: team analytics after the group stage
/The group stage of BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022 has already ended a few days ago, and we have not yet summed up the performance of the teams. Yes, there have been many unexpected results that need to be considered. And yet, so far no one has been eliminated from the championship, which means that even teams from the first bracket of the Play-In have a chance to get into the autumn finals of the season. Well, we propose to sum up the analytical results for each of the teams. We propose to make a breakdown by quartets, going from the worst to the best member of each group.
Group A
OG clearly did not have time to properly prepare for the championship, since the ideas that were promoted by nexa and ruggah do not fit into any gates. Honestly, how you can rely on the same strategy for several rounds in a row and think that the opponent does not understand anything is hard to put in your head. However, during these days, OG has had time to come up with something new and interesting, as well as prepare for their next opponent.
The Swedes from Ninjas in Pajamas, as always - we start for health, and end for peace. Again, the team stumbles upon the same rake, namely the lack of a plan B for the game. Well, and most importantly, without a sniper, the Swedish team will continue to be in a fever. And if once every few months Ninjas in Pajamas can give a good result, now, apparently, this is not the case.
Vitality got off to a strong start in the group stage, with two confident victories. Here one would think that Spinx instilled meaningfulness in the team, but it only seemed. And in the end, the Danish-French team lost to Astralis, having lost so many of their rounds that it's scary to think.
Well, let's finish the summary review with the Danes from Astralis. It is worth throwing out the "successes" of the team in the qualifiers for the RMR tournament, but at the group stage of BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022, the wards of trace managed to catch their wave. Yes, the Danes still have no new ideas and the game is based on the number of duels won by blameF. And yet, in BO1, this tactic worked, and then we'll see.
Group B
So far, G2 Esports can be called the failure of the entire championship. Hand on heart, it's hard to find words to describe the team's newcomers. It is clear that you do not expect much from the captain, but when HooXi runs out at 1:40 and dies without firing a single shot, the situation is alarming. Here also jks excelled, not taking a round for the team on Mirage. In general, G2 Esports is difficult to bury, if only because of their status, but so far everything looks regrettable.
To put it bluntly, Complexity deserved to be ranked lower. However, the breakthrough of the North Americans at the start of the championship allowed them to play not two, but three matches at the group stage. Nothing good can be said about the game, because we have all the same eggs, only in profile. Well, the guys changed the sniper, but what's the point?
During the month that we took a break from CS, Team Liquid did not come up with anything new. We still have a team that plays well, but at its level. "Liquid" definitely cannot jump above their heads, but they will not hang out at the very bottom with YEKINDAR. So far, everything depends on the number of correct calls from Marek during the round, as well as the number of psychological minimum that the VALORANT captain will allow himself to shoot.
You can’t say anything about NaVi, because it will be more expensive for yourself. Yes, the team managed to "play for the office" at the start of BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022, although they managed to accelerate further. So here also s1mple remembered his duties and arrived in Copenhagen just in time for the start of the Play-In. In general, we are waiting.
Group C
Evil Geniuses - generally hammer. Perhaps what a curse, but for two years the teams with this tag have not played CS at all. Even put tabseN or karrigan here, but the guys will still lose to everyone outside of North America. The situation is such that nothing can be said about "Evil Geniuses" at all, since everything that has been said over the past six months can be dragged into this case.
The German team BIG obviously did not win enough for the third place, but only one "but". The team made too many mistakes, for which they paid with two defeats from Heroic. Moreover, BIG is still the most enterprising team on the scene, but all these gaffes and stupid rounds are still damp.
FaZe Clan continues to play according to the old templates, although you don't expect anything else from karrigan. So the guys were caught in the grand final of the quartet, although earlier the team looked very strong. You should not think that RobbaN's wards will not show themselves, but, again, the bells are alarming, and they rang a couple of months ago.
It's hard to say anything about Heroic. If we forget about the victory over FaZe Clan, then the team performed well. But two matches with BIG, full of mistakes, are out of the general logic. And for some reason, it still seems that the Danish team is going nowhere, because it too often relies on chance.
