
BLAST Open Spring 2026: teams, format, and prize pool
Tournament organizer BLAST has announced all teams that will take part in BLAST Open Spring 2026. The event will take place from March 18 to 29 in Rotterdam and will feature 16 teams.
The tournament format includes a group stage and playoffs. The Group Stage will run from March 18 to 23, 2026, consisting of two double-elimination (GSL) groups with eight teams in each. All group stage matches will be played in a Bo3 format. The top three teams from each group will advance to the playoffs: group winners will move directly to the semifinals, second-place teams will advance to the quarterfinals as high seeds, while third-place teams will start the playoffs from the quarterfinals as low seeds. The Playoffs will be held from March 27 to 29 in a single-elimination format, with the quarterfinals and semifinals played as Bo3, and the grand final as Bo5.

The total prize pool of BLAST Open Spring 2026 is $1.1 million, with $400,000 allocated directly to the teams and an additional $700,000 awarded to the organizations. The tournament winner will earn $150,000 and 3 Freq. Flyer Tokens, the runner-up will receive $60,000 and 1 Freq. Flyer Token, while the teams finishing in 3rd–4th place will earn $40,000 and 1 Freq. Flyer Token each.
