m0NESY Named Most Valuable Player of BLAST Premier World Final 2022
/m0NESY, a G2 Esports sniper, has been named the MVP of the BLAST Premier World Final 2022. The 17-year-old esportsman scored an impressive 1.24 rating to earn his first career MVP award. In addition, this is the first victory for m0NESY at the senior level.
G2 Esports became the winner of BLAST Premier World Final 2022, beating Team Liquid 2:0 (Inferno - 16:7; Mirage - 16:12).
In addition to the highest rating among all participants in the championship, the young G2 Esports sniper turned out to be the best in a number of other indicators: K/D difference (+77), number of kills (251), average kills per round (0.79), number of clutches won (6), the number of AWP kills (138), the number of wins in opening duels (78.2%) and the average number of AWP kills per round (0.44).
In addition, m0NESY was one of the best players of his team in the final victory against Team Liquid with a cumulative rating of 1.27.
Notably, m0NESY became the youngest player to win an MVP award in a major tournament and the third youngest overall MVP winner after sergej (StarSeries i-League Season 6) and EspiranTo (DreamHack Open Summer 2018).
BLAST Premier World Final 2022 was held from December 14 to 18 in Abu Dhabi at the Etihad Arena. As part of the championship, eight teams from Europe, the CIS and North America competed for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
