BLAST Premier World Final 2022 has come to an end. As part of the championship, which was held from December 14 to 18 in Abu Dhabi at the Etihad Arena, eight teams from Europe, the CIS and North America fought for a total prize pool of $1,000,000. The winner of the tournament was the G2 Esports team, which in the grand final managed to beat Team Liquid with a score of 2:0 (Inferno - 16:7; Mirage - 16:12).

The championship for the European team started with a defeat from FaZe Clan (1:2). However, G2 Esports outplayed Outsiders (2:0) in the lower bracket and made it to the playoffs. Starting from the quarterfinals, the team managed to beat Vitality (2:1) and took revenge on FaZe Clan (2:0) to earn the right to play against Team Liquid in the final.

Team Liquid-G2

The grand final started on the Inferno map, which became the choice of G2 Esports. But if at the start the North Americans showed some struggle, then after NiKo and the company managed to find their game in attack, closing the half with a devastating score of 11:4. After the side switch, the "liquid" ones failed to return to the game, while G2 Esports confidently brought the matter to a victorious end and took the lead in the series - 16:7.

Then the teams moved to the Mirage map, which turned out to be the choice of Team Liquid. Here the European team began to develop its superiority, gaining round after round in defense. Nevertheless, at the end of the first half, the “liquid” managed to close the gap and get six rounds - 9:6. After switching sides, the North Americans almost seized the initiative, catching up with the opponent. But at the most crucial moment, G2 Esports went to the final spurt, having managed to secure the final victory — 16:12.
