The first details of ESL Pro League Season 12 became known

ESL Pro League Season 12 will begin on August 31 and end on October 11. The league will be held offline, but the venue of the championship is still unknown.

Teams will begin their battle from the group stage. There 24 teams will be sown in 4 groups, consisting of 6 participants. Teams that will lead their sextets will go to the Play-In. The squads, located in groups of 2-3 places, will go to the final stage in Round of 12. It, by the way, will be held in the double-elimination grid. While these teams will compete for access to the quarter finals, four teams in the Play-In will compete for two exits to the semifinals. The losers there will go to the quarter finals. As for the format of the matches, all the confrontations will take place in the Bo3 series with the exception of the grand final. The final match will be held in Bo5 format.

In the official announcement of the ESL talked about which of the teams became a partner of the league. This means that they will receive invitations to the ESL Pro League for three consecutive years. The lucky list includes Astralis , Complexity Gaming , ENCE , Evil Geniuses , FaZe Clan , Fnatic, G2 Esports , mousesports , NAVI, NiP , Team Liquid , Team Vitality and 100 Thieves . The winner of the 11th season of the ESL Pro League will receive one invitation, 2 invitations will take the best teams in the world ranking according to the ESL version, and 2 more invitations will be received by the finalists of the ESEA Season 33 Global Challenge. The remaining five slots will be occupied by the best teams of five regional qualifications, which will be held in Europe, North America, South America, Oceania and Asia.
