PGL Major Stockholm 2021: What you need to know before the start of the playoffs
Today, November 4, the final part of PGL Major Stockholm 2021 starts, namely the Champions stage. The eight best teams based on the results of the previous stage of Legends will compete for the main prize - $ 1,000,000. At the same time, we already know the schedule and the results of the draw, so we can easily estimate which teams will reach the end.

Eight teams will play in the playoffs of PGL Major Stockholm 2021:
- Ninjas in Pajamas.
- Team Vitality.
- G2 Esports.
- FURIA Esports.
- Gambit Esports.
- Natus Vincere.
- Heroic.
- Virtus.pro.
It is interesting that of all the teams presented, only two started their way back from the Challengers stage - Virtus.pro and Heroic.
Prize fund distribution:
- 1st place - $ 1,000,000.
- 2nd place - $ 300,000.
- 3-4th place - $ 140,000.
- 3-4th place - $ 140,000.
- 5th-8th place - $ 70,000.
- 5th-8th place - $ 70,000.

Schedule
Before the draw, the teams were divided into ranks, which reflected their results at the previous stage. The first seeding was received by the NAVI team, which is to play with the team that took the eighth place according to the results of the Legends stage. The second seeding went to the G2 team, which in this case fell on the team with the rating number 7. Heroic, which received the third seed, received the sixth team in the ranking as its opponents. At the same time, teams # 4 and # 5 will play against each other.

Format of the event
The playoffs of PGL Major Stockholm 2021 will be held in the usual format with elimination matches. The team that loses the match will automatically leave the tournament. Moreover, all matches, including the grand final, will be held in the BO3 format.
Card/side selection rules:
- Team 1 bans the card.
- Team 2 bans the card.
- Team 1 picks the map (team 2 picks a side).
- Team 2 picks the map (team 1 chooses a side).
- Team 2 bans the card.
- Team 1 bans the card.
- The remaining card remains the Desider (Team 2 chooses a side).
Additional rounds rules: At PGL Major Stockholm 2021, a system is used where teams are given $ 10,000 in overtime, 3 rounds for each side.
