Biography RodjER
Vladimir «RodjER» Nikogosyan is a professional Dota 2 play of Armenian descent. RodjER started his career back in 2014 and since then, he has managed to play for many top CIS teams. He visited many prestigious international championships and prevailed not at a single one. We present to your attention RodjER’s road to becoming an esportsman.
The beginning of the career
Like the majority of esportsmen, RodjER had begun his road to the competitive scene way before his arrival to a professional organization. Since his early years, the player has been fond of video games, which consequently helped him to build a pretty successful career.
The team Cleave Gaming was the first club RodjER was playing for. The player spent a few months there, participating in small leagues and tournaments. The club Aware Gaming was the next stop for RodjER where the player did not stay for long too. RodjER transferred to Cleave Gaming again later where he tried to succeed again. He failed, so he moved to Hard'N'Play in October 2015.
RodjER did not stay in Hard’N’Play for long. A few days later, RodjER left the club and became a player of Prodota Gaming. RodjER played for PD at small championships and leagues, trying to make it to the top. He made these tries a few more times: playing for GUS Gaming, FlipSid3 Tactics, Skorokhod + 4, Rebels, and Effect. All of them were futile
The first success came to RodjER with his transfer to Team Empire.
Team Empire and the first success
DOTA Summit 7 was the first championship, at which RodjER made a statement on the roster of Team Empire. The team held the 7th-8th place there, which did not stop the team from qualifying for The International 2017.
The team achieved victory at another small tournament before the main championship of the year – OverPower Cup #2. The team placed 7th-8th at TI7, which was a nice result, considering that they were defeated by the future world champions, Team Liquid. After such a sudden successful result, RodjER became a very promising player on the CIS stage. Natus Vincere was the first to notice this.
NaVi
RodjER became a player of NaVi in September 2017. With him, the team qualified for a few tournaments, including StarLadder i-League Invitational #3: CIS, PGS Open Bucharest 2017 CIS, and DreamLeague Season 8. However, the results were mediocre at the tournaments. The team held the 5th-6th place at StarLadder, the 7th-8th place in Bucharest, and the 4th place at DreamLeague Season 8. Later, NaVi placed 3rd-4th at MDL Macau and 7th-8th at ESL One Genting 2018.
Despite the pretty mediocre results, RodjER remained a demanded player and he joined VP in February 2018.
VP and the period of dominance
Having transferred to VP, RodjER quickly felt the taste of victories. The team won ESL One Katowice 2018 in February 2018. VP prevailed at The Bucharest Major in March and achieved victory at ESL One Birmingham in May. The team finished second at China Dota2 Supermajor in June. The team held the 5th-6th place at The International 2018, which was the repeat of the organization’s best result.
The team did not relax after that and continued performing on a decent level. The team prevailed at The Kuala Lumpur Major in November 2018, after which held the second place at The Chongqing Major in January, and the second place at DreamLeague Season 1 two months later. In May 2019, the team placed 7th-8th at MDL Disneyland Paris Major and 3rd place at EPICENTER Major a month later. The team was sensationally eliminated from The International 2019, placing 9th-12th. This tournament was the last one for RodjER on the roster of VP.
Finding himself and the return to NaVi
RodjER moved to Winstrike in November 2019 but he was unable to achieve the past results. In March, the player tried to play for HellRaisers but he left the team after 5 months of mediocre results.
RodjER became a player of FlyToMoon in September and managed to win OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division and also qualify for OGA Dota PIT S3: Europe/CIS.
The whole roster of FlyToMoon was signed by NaVi that month. Having returned to the ranks of The Born to Win, the player held the 4th place at OGA Dota PIT S3: Europe/CIS.
The player has already earned more than 1,310,000 dollars of prize money in his career.
