NRG Esports and mousesports became the first participants of EPL Season 9 Finals
Ihor MatusMousesports got in one group with such opponents as OpTic Gaming, North, and ex-Space Soldiers in the European division. Finally, mouze beat all three opponents and became the first team to qualify through the European qualification.
NRG Esports, in turn, was put in a group with such teams as eUnited, Renegades, and INTZ eSports. Unlike mousesports, the Americans didn’t defeat all their opponents and lost in the match against Renegades but, however, earned enough points and rounds to qualify to ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals and to become the first American participant.
EPL Season 9 Finals will take place in Montpellier, France on June 18-23. The general prize pool will amount $750,000 and the main prize will be $250,000. 16 teams will take part in the championship, which will pass regional qualifiers in Europe and North America. 8 teams will advance from each division.
