Mousesports got in one group with such opponents as OpTic Gaming, North, and ex-Space Soldiers in the European division. Finally, mouze beat all three opponents and became the first team to qualify through the European qualification.

NRG Esports, in turn, was put in a group with such teams as eUnited, Renegades, and INTZ eSports. Unlike mousesports, the Americans didn’t defeat all their opponents and lost in the match against Renegades but, however, earned enough points and rounds to qualify to ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals and to become the first American participant.
