The general information
ESL Pro League is a tournament with a very big prize pool, which is hosted in CS:GO every year. Starting from the fifth season, the overall prize pool of the LAN final amounts $750,000 and the number of participants was equal to 16 teams in the last three seasons. The event will take place in Montpellier, France. The Exhibition Centre (the group stage) and Sud de France Arena (the playoffs) will be a venue.
The format of the tournament
The championship will be hosted in two stages: the group stage and the playoffs. In the initial stage, 16 teams will be divided into two groups with 8 participants in each one. Teams will be playing in double-elimination brackets in each group. Six participants will make it to the playoffs. The winners of the upper bracket will miss the quarterfinal and get right to the semi-final, while the teams to place 2nd and 3rd in their groups will go to the quarterfinal match.
With regard to the format of matches, the first matches of the group stage will be hosted in a bo1 series. All the rest of the matches will be carried out in a bo3 format, except for the grand final. The final match will be hosted in a bo5 series.

The coverage of the tournament
Olivier Morin will be the main stage host. Tres ‘stunna’ Saranthus will be a desk host.
