IEM Summer 2021: G2 Esports advanced to the semifinals!
Ihor MatusThe final in the group stage in Group A has come to an end. In it, G2 defeated their opponents from Team Vitality, without losing a single card to the latter. The first battle took place on the Vertigo map. There G2 played poorly for the defense side and took only five rounds. After the transition, G2 safely took the remaining 11 rounds and won the map.
At Inferno G2, Esports started for the attack and took 9 rounds. After the transition, they took 7 rounds in defense without any problems and became the winners of this match.
The triumph allowed the team to advance to the playoffs and bypass the quarterfinals. Vitality will have to start their journey from the quarterfinals. G2 Esports made it to the semifinals and will face the winner of the Evil Geniuses vs Gambit Esports duel there.
