The Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024: European RMR B has proven to be one of the most unexpected and incredibly entertaining groups to watch in this tournament. Here, two of the strongest teams faced off: G2, ranked 2nd in the world, and Team Spirit, ranked 4th.

The match was played in a BO3 format, with all three maps being contested. G2 chose Ancient as their pick, while Team Spirit opted for Mirage, a map considered one of their strongest. The decider map was Nuke.

Each team secured a win on their own map pick. G2 claimed victory on Ancient with a score of 13:9, while Team Spirit dominated Mirage 13:5, pushing the series to the final map. Nuke turned into an incredibly thrilling showdown, a map truly worthy of a Major final. Both teams punished each other for every mistake, fighting fiercely for every round. The tension lasted until the very last round, where G2 managed to clinch a hard-fought victory on Nuke with a score of 16:14.

With this win, G2 secured their spot at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, while Team Spirit will face another game day, taking on Sashi Esport in their next match. This match is very important for both teams, as it is their last chance to qualify for the final Major of the year.
