
Passion UA Heads to Perfect World Shanghai Major – The First All-Ukrainian Team at a CS 2 Major
The Ukrainian team Passion UA has made esports history by becoming the first all-Ukrainian roster to qualify for a Counter-Strike 2 Major. The team secured their spot at the Perfect World Shanghai Major by defeating Astralis in the decisive RMR European Qualifier match with a 2-0 scoreline (13:9 on Inferno and 13:11 on Ancient).

The Birth of Passion UA: Ambitions and Goals
Passion UA was founded in August 2023 by professional football player Oleksandr Zinchenko. His vision was to create a world-class team to represent Ukraine on the biggest stages. With their qualification for the major, Passion UA is well on its way to fulfilling that vision.
European Qualifier: Results and What’s Next
The second stage of the European RMR Qualifiers is running from November 21 to 24, featuring 16 teams, including seven from Eastern Europe. The top seven teams will secure their spots at the Shanghai Major.

The Counter-Strike 2 World Championship will take place in Shanghai from November 30 to December 15, with a prize pool of $1.25 million. The event will feature the world’s top teams competing for glory.
Currently ranked 49th globally, Passion UA will aim to challenge the world’s best and make their mark on the international stage.
