Astralis Defeat Eternal Fire and Continue the Fight

Today, Astralis and Eternal Fire faced off in an elimination match at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024. For both teams, this was a crucial moment: the winner would keep their chances alive to advance to the main stage of the tournament, while the loser would be eliminated. Both teams entered the match with an identical 1:2 record, adding to the tension.

The teams selected the following maps: Vertigo, picked by Astralis; Inferno, chosen by Eternal Fire; and the decider was Dust2. Interestingly, both teams performed better on their opponent's map picks than on their own.

On Vertigo, the Turkish squad showed a strong performance, winning 13:6, despite it being Astralis' choice. The Danes responded on Dust2, taking the map with a 13:8 scoreline.

The decider map, Inferno, turned into a true battle. Both teams fought hard for every round, fully aware that the outcome would determine who stays in the tournament and who goes home. After an intense showdown, Astralis managed to edge out a victory with a 13:11 score.
