G2 Esports, FURIA, paiN Gaming and NAVI reach the 1/8 finals of ESL Pro League Season 17

The first game day of the ESL Pro League Season 17 playoffs has concluded, with G2 Esports, FURIA, paiN Gaming and NAVI all reaching the 1/8 finals of the tournament. Here they will face ENCE, FaZe Clan, MOUZ and Outsiders respectively. In turn, Movistar Riders, fnatic, Team Liquid and 00NATION dropped out of the tournament, finishing 13-16th and earning $20,000.

In the first leg of the series, G2 Esports defeated Movistar Riders 2-0 (Vertigo, 16-10; Inferno, 16-6). At the same time, Brazilian FURIA took on fnatic 2-0 (Ancient 16-13, Anubis 16-10).

In the evening already, paiN Gaming managed to cause a sensation by beating Team Liquid 2:0 (Mirage 16:7, Ancient 16:12). In the parallel match, the Ukrainian team NAVI defeated 00NATION 2:1 (Ancient 16:14; Overpass 8:16; Mirage 16:4).

ESL Pro League Season 17 takes place from February 22 to March 26 in Malta. During the championship, 32 teams from CIS, Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and Oceania will compete for a combined prize pool of $850,000 as well as trips to IEM Cologne 2023 and BLAST World Final 2023 for the winner.

  • 1st place: $200,000 + 3,000 points + entry to IEM Cologne 2023 and BLAST World Final 2023
  • 2nd place: $90,000 + 2,000 points
  • 3-4th place: $50,000 + 1,200 points
  • 5-8th place: $35,000 + 500 points
  • 9-12th place: $25,000
