Official: nipl will play for NAVI on several maps as part of BLAST Premier: World Final 2022
B1ad3, coach of the NaVi team, officially confirmed the information that nipl will play at BLAST Premier: World Final 2022. However, the team plans to gradually test the newcomer, allowing the 17-year-old Ukrainian from NAVI Junior to play on several maps.
We will make final decisions after Abu Dhabi as we continue to think about our future. We'll give sdy another go, but we'll also be using nipl. We want to split the cards between them and give nipl a chance to shine and show what he can do.
I think we will of course focus on winning, so we only give a few nipl cards, in which case always two cards out of three can be strong cards. You take a bit of a risk, but you have a back-up plan, the third map, where it's ok if nipl can't do well in the first maps. For example, like b1t, he didn't do very well on the first maps, and then he started to progress. It takes time.
Note that this is not the first time that NAVI is testing potential replacements with a kind of division of responsibility. In particular, at the end of 2020 - the beginning of 2021, the Born to Win introduced the young b1t, who then switched places with flamie. At the same time, that experience worked 100%, given the further successes of the team together with b1t.
nipl is an active NAVI Junior player. Together with the youth team of Born to Win, the 17-year-old Ukrainian became the champion of ROG #StandWithUkraine Cup Summer 2022, and also took third place in the WePlay Academy League Season 6.
BLAST Premier World Final 2022 will take place from December 14 to 18 in Abu Dhabi at the Etihad Arena. As part of the championship, eight teams of the season will compete for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
