PGL Major Stockholm 2021: G2 Esports advanced to the semifinals

The second quarterfinal match within the current Major tournament has come to an end. NiP and G2 Esports fought against each other in it. The first map for battles was Inferno. There, G2 Esports immediately began to dictate the rules of the game and "choke" the Swedes. NiKo and his teammates started on the defensive side and took as many as 12 rounds! After the transition, NiP had an excellent attempt to make a comeback, but G2 stopped this business and ended the fight with a result of 16-11.

The second battleground was Mirage. There the meeting followed a similar scenario, but with some differences. This time G2 Esports started on the side of the attackers and managed to carry out 9 successful attacks in the first half. After the transition, NiP tried to probe the gap in the defense of the Europeans, but they succeeded only 7 times, which was not enough to win at Mirage. The second map, just like Inferno, ended with a score of 16-11.

The losers of NiP took 5th-8th place in the standings and received a cash reward of $ 70,000. G2 Esports, in turn, became the second semi-finalist. Earlier, the players from Heroic who defeated Virtus.pro came to the same result. Now Heroic will face off against G2 Esports.
