The Virtus.pro team becomes the seventh quarterfinalist of PGL Major Stockholm 2021. In the fifth round of the Legends stage, the CIS team beat FaZe Clan with a score of 2: 1.

The game started on Inferno, which became Virtus.pro's choice. However, already in the first half it became clear that FaZe Clan was not surprised by such a choice, having obtained a two-fold advantage over the side switching. At the same time, Virtus.pro managed to resist in the second half, practically catching up with the opponent. But the European team turned out to be adamant, having recorded the victory at the opponent's peak - 16:13.

Next, the teams ended up on the Ancient map, which assumed that Virtus.pro would leave the championship. However, already at the start, the team from the CIS showed their character, imposing a fight on a quick attack of the opponent. At the same time, this time the defense of FaZe Clan did not prepare for the attacks of the opponent, who sensationally leveled the score in this series - 16:14.

Everything was decided on the Overpass map, the first half of which ended with a minimal advantage for Virtus.pro. However, in the second half, the team from the CIS managed to finally crush the opponent, earning a place in the playoffs of PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

After this defeat, FaZe Clan left PGL Major Stockholm 2021, finishing in 9th-11th place and earning $ 17,500.
