Aurora defeat Legacy and advance to the ESL Pro League Season 23 semifinals

Aurora defeated Legacy 2–1 in a match at the ESL Pro League Season 23 Finals. After losing the second map, the team managed to regroup and confidently close out the series on the decider. With this victory, Aurora advance to the tournament semifinals.

The first map was Dust2, where Aurora immediately took control of the game. The team confidently dictated the pace, performed effectively on the attack, and gave their opponents almost no chances on defense. Thanks to a strong run of rounds, Aurora quickly built a large lead and comfortably closed the map 13:4.

On Overpass, the situation changed. Legacy managed to put up a fight and looked much stronger in key rounds. The team consistently converted their attacks and held solid defense, which allowed them to level the series. In the end, Legacy won the map 13:8, sending the match to a decisive third map.

The outcome of the series was decided on Inferno, where Aurora once again took control of the game. The team managed their economy better and won most of the key duels, gradually extending their lead. Aurora confidently secured the map 13:6, closing the series in their favor.

The best player of the match was MAJ3R, who finished the series with 82.9 ADR and a 1.37 rating, playing a key role in his team’s victory.

Aurora advance to the semifinals of the tournament, where they will face the winner of the Astralis vs Spirit matchup. Legacy finish their run in 5th–8th place, earning $15,000 for the team and $33,000 for the organization. The ESL Pro League S23 Finals take place from March 13 to March 15, where eight teams compete for the $250,000 first-place prize.
