
Astralis defeat FUT to secure third place at ESL Pro League Season 23
In the match for third place at the ESL Pro League Season 23 Finals, Astralis faced the Turkish team FUT Esports. The series turned out to be intense and went the full three maps: FUT confidently won their map pick Dust2, Astralis responded with a victory on Ancient, and the bronze medals were decided on the decider map Overpass. In the end, the Danish squad proved stronger in dramatic overtime and secured third place in the tournament.

FUT performed confidently on their own map. On Dust2 they started on the T side and managed to secure nine rounds in the first half. In the second half Astralis tried to replicate a similar approach, but FUT closed the map out 13:8.
Astralis responded with a win on their own pick. On Ancient, the Danish side won eight rounds on the attacking side. After the side switch, FUT failed to get back into the game and lost the map 4:13.
The battle for third place was decided on Overpass. The first half was very competitive, ending in a 6:6 tie. After the side switch, FUT reached match point, but Astralis managed to win three crucial rounds to force overtime, where they closed the map without giving FUT a chance, winning 16:12.
