Coronavirus vs Chinese ESL One Los Angeles 2020 participants. Who will win?
Ihor MatusThe fact that Invictus Gaming , Royal Never Give Up and EHOME made it to the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 does not mean that the above teams will go to Los Angeles. Complex, but not impossible trials faced their face. To participate in the championship, a number of conditions must be met.
Firstly, the US embassy temporarily stopped its work with the Chinese, and therefore only those teams whose players already have an open visa will be able to enter the United States.
Secondly, the convoys from China, according to the established rules, will have to spend two weeks outside their homeland in order to have the right to fly to America. ESL One Los Angeles 2020 starts on March 15, which means the team will have to fly to Los Angeles on March 12-13. Based on simple calculations, Chinese teams need to leave their country on February 25-26 and hold a bootcamp in another state, but not in the United States. Along with this, one more difficulty arises. A country in which they want to hold an iG, RNG or EHOME bootcamp should have a visa-free entry policy for Chinese citizens, as some Chinese embassies, as well as in America, have temporarily suspended their work.
As a result, we have the following situation: all iG, RNG and EHOME players must have an open visa in the USA, and the organization management must take out the roster for 2 weeks for the bootcamp to a country with a visa-free regime for China. The task is clearly not an easy one, and therefore it is not at all excluded that one of the above-mentioned participants will probably come to the championship with a replacement, or maybe even withdraw from participation in the tournament.
