A few hours ago, scary guesses appeared on the network: OG offlaner Sebastian "Ceb" Debs may miss The International 10. The rumors turned out to be true - Ceb will not play at the anniversary The International.
The two-time world champion underwent emergency eye surgery and will not have time to recover before TI10. His place at the base of OG will be taken by Micke, who has played more than three dozen games in 3 positions in recent weeks.
OG roster at The International 10
- Said Samail "SumaiL" Hassan
- Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen
- Mike "miCKe" Wu (standin)
- Martin "Saksa" Sazdov
- Johan "n0tail" Sundstein
In connection with the incident, Sebastian made a comment. See Ceb's statement below.
You may already know about this, but a few days ago I did receive some very bad news. During a routine medical examination, the doctor informed me that I had a retinal detachment in my left eye and that I was several hours away from permanently losing my eyesight.
The only solution was to have an urgent operation, which I, of course, did. No matter how much we love DotA, some things will always come first. The operation went well, which is the most important thing.
When I heard this bad news about my health, it was like heaven fell on me. I struggle every day trying to cope with pain and fatigue, hoping that my recovery process will still allow me to attend The International. Unfortunately, at this point, I still cannot know if I will be back in shape in time.
Of course, this is a huge blow for me and the team, but over the years I have learned to see the positive sides in every challenge that my life throws down to me. The bright side here is that my determination and desire to prepare has never been stronger. I know my team is making great strides and covering my back. I am also very moved and feel your unconditional and loving support.
TI is coming soon, so it puts a smile on my face, even if I can be there or not. Love you all, hope to see you soon
The International 10 will take place from 7 to 17 October in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. In the main event of the year, 18 teams will compete for the title and will compete for over $ 41,000,000.
