FURIA advanced to the quarter-finals of IEM Cologne 2025 with a clean 2-0 victory over G2 in the Group A lower bracket final. With strong showings from molodoy and YEKINDAR, the Brazilian squad closed out Dust2 and Inferno to secure their spot in playoffs. molodoy claimed MVP of the series with a 1.50 rating and 46 kills across both maps. G2 exit the tournament in the group stage.

Map 1 – Dust2 (13:6 FURIA)

FURIA’s pick of Dust2 paid off early as they surged ahead with a 9:3 T-side half. G2 couldn’t recover after the switch, managing just three more rounds before molodoy shut it down with a 4K AWP hold in mid. The Kazakh AWPer ended the map with 25 kills, supported by YEKINDAR, who added a multi-kill round and key entries.

Map 2 – Inferno (16:14 FURIA)

G2 chose Inferno and made it competitive. They led 7:5 on the T side and fought to overtime with strong rounds from malbsMd, including a 1v3 clutch. However, FURIA edged out four rounds in OT, with KSCERATO and YEKINDAR delivering the final blows. molodoy remained consistent, while FalleN led the team tactically.

With this win, FURIA move on to face MOUZ in the IEM Cologne 2025 quarter-finals. On the other side, Natus Vincere will face The MongolZ. G2 are out of the tournament.

IEM Cologne 2025 is being held in Cologne, Germany, featuring 24 teams and a $1,000,000 prize pool. Stage 1 ran from July 26–27, Group Stage from July 28–30, and playoffs begin August 1. The champion will take home $400,000, with $180,000 and $80,000 going to the second and third-place finishers.
