MOUZ beat Vitality in IEM Cologne 2025 Semi-final

MOUZ advanced to the Grand Final of IEM Cologne 2025 with a clean 2-0 win over world-ranked #1 Vitality. The European squad took Mirage 13:9 and followed up with a 13:8 win on Train. The best-of-three series was played on LAN. Dorian ‘xertioN’ Berman led the scoreboard with a 1.58 rating and 109.8 ADR, earning MVP honors. Ádám ‘torzsi’ Torzsás also played a key role with a 1.48 rating and 40 kills. With this result, MOUZ will face Spirit in the Grand Final.

Map 1 – Mirage (13:9 MOUZ)

MOUZ’s map pick started rough, trailing 4:8 on their T side. But after switching to CT, they locked in nine of the next ten rounds to secure the map. torzsi was lights out on defense, finishing 24-9, while xertioN delivered a critical 1v3 Galil clutch in Round 18. ropz opened early rounds for Vitality with impact, but the team couldn’t convert late-game control.

Map 2 – Train (13:8 MOUZ)

Vitality’s pick of Train didn’t slow MOUZ down. The first half was tight, with MOUZ edging ahead 7:5. In the second half, they maintained control with fast-paced executes and tight post-plants. xertioN opened the map with a P250 4K on A site and carried momentum throughout. Jimpphat and Brollan provided consistent mid-round impact, while Vitality struggled to answer, with ZywOo held to just 21 kills over both maps.

MOUZ now move into the IEM Cologne 2025 Grand Final, where they’ll meet Spirit, who previously defeated Natus Vincere 2-1. Vitality, the top seed, are eliminated in the semifinals. The final will be played in a best-of-five format on Sunday.

IEM Cologne 2025 is held in Cologne, Germany, featuring three stages: Stage 1 (July 26–28), Stage 2 (July 29–31), and Playoffs (August 1–4). The total prize pool is $1,000,000, with $400,000 for 1st place, $180,000 for 2nd, and $80,000 each for the semifinalists.
