Favorites in order: what we learned from the first round of IEM Road to Rio 2022 American RMR

The first round of IEM Road to Rio 2022 American RMR has ended, as a result of which eight teams got into the basket of the strongest and will try to realize their ambitions in the next matches. In turn, eight other teams suffered their first defeats, thus bringing themselves closer to elimination from the RMR tournament. IEM Road to Rio 2022 American RMR First Round

Game day began with two ordinary defeats. And if in the first case FURIA presented an updated jersey design with a victory over Infinity (16:2), then in the parallel match Imperial Esports had no problems in the game against Isurus (16:2). Then the North American team Evil Geniuses confidently coped with Nouns Esports (16:7), while paiN Gaming managed to keep the victory over ARCTIC (16:13).

In the next portion of the matches, Complexity Gaming left ATK out of work (16:5), just as 9z managed to make a comeback and coped with 00NATION (19:16). Well, at the very end of the first round, the Brazilian team MIBR figured out the derby with O PLANO (16:9), while in the parallel match Team Liquid outplayed Team oNe eSports (16:6) in the class.
