
ESL Pro League Season 23: First 2–0 Teams and Elimination Threats After Day Two of Stage 1
Yesterday, March 2, marked the conclusion of the second competitive day of ESL Pro League Season 23 Stage 1. Some teams moved one step closer to the playoffs, while those who suffered defeats now find themselves in a dangerous position, where another loss would mean elimination from the tournament.
The most intense matchups were Passion UA vs FUT and Liquid vs Gaimin Gladiators. In the first series, both teams secured their opponent’s map pick, while the deciding third map turned into a tight battle. In the end, FUT managed to edge out a narrow 13:11 victory.
In the other series, Gaimin Gladiators defeated Liquid 2–1. After the teams traded their own map picks, the Brazilian squad confidently closed the first half of the decider with a 9:3 lead. Liquid attempted a comeback after the side switch, but Gaimin Gladiators held several key rounds and secured a 13:10 win.
