Today, April 11, PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR will start. Over the next few days, the best teams from North and South America will compete for a symbolic prize pool of $50,000, as well as six tickets to PGL Major Antwerp 2022. Format of PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR

The event will offer participants a classic Swiss grid. All matches of the championship, with the exception of the decisive ones, will be held in the BO1 format. At the same time, the meetings that decide the tournament fate of the teams will be held in the BO3 format. The Buchholz system will be used to determine seeding from rounds 3 to 5.

In addition, shortly before the start of the championship, the organizers approved additional matches that will determine the fate of tickets to PGL Major Antwerp 2022. While the teams that completed the Swiss stage without defeats will compete for the right to receive Legends status. In addition, PGL has added decider matches for teams that finish the Swiss round 3-2 to determine the final 6th Major entrant from the region.

16 teams from North and South America will take part in the championship. Moreover, 15 of them were determined based on the results of open qualifiers, while FURIA, thanks to reaching the playoffs of PGL Major Stockholm 2021, received a direct invite to the RMR tournament.
