MIBR and FURIA became the first participants of PGL Major Antwerp 2022

The teams MIBR and FURIA became the first participants in PGL Major Antwerp 2022. According to the results of the second game day of PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR, the teams got their third wins, thus securing their place in the main championship of the first half of the season in Belgium. At the same time, Bad News Bears and Leviatan lost their third meetings, as a result of which they left the RMR tournament.

Third round of PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR

The game day began with matches between teams that completed two starting rounds with a score of "1-1". In the first portion of the matches, the Evil Geniuses team defeated 00 Nation (16:9), while in the parallel meeting the Brazilians from Sao Caetano turned out to be stronger than Isurus (16:13). Then the teams Liquid and Party Astronauts got their second victory in the championship, beating paiN (16:1) and Case (16:6), respectively.

In the next portion of matches, the MIBR team managed to outplay Imperial (2:1), thanks to which they qualified for PGL Major Antwerp 2022. At the same time, the North American team Bad News Bears lost 9z (0:2), thus leaving PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR.

Following TeamOne managed to get a hard-fought victory over Leviatan (2:0), thus sending the Argentine team home. In the final confrontation of the game day, FURIA turned out to be stronger than Complexity (2:0), having managed to win a ticket to PGL Major Antwerp 2022.

Note that now MIBR and FURIA will meet each other to challenge the direct ticket to the Legends Stage. This meeting will take place on Thursday 14 April.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR takes place April 11-15 in Romania. Sixteen teams from North and South America are competing for a symbolic prize pool of $50,000, as well as six tickets to PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
