General information

The first tournament of the BLAST Pro Series series in 2019 will be held in Brazil, in São Paulo. The prize pool will traditionally be $250,000, and its division will be done by 6 collectives that got invited directly from the organizers. The event will be taking place in two days, from 22 till 23 March.

Participants

RFRSH Entertainment, organizing the CS:GO championship, invited the teams:

  • Astralis
  • ENCE eSports
  • FaZe Clan
  • Team Liquid
  • MIBR
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas

In the traditional list of the invited teams, ENCE became a replacement of the CIS collective, Natus Vincere.

The prize pool

The main prize pool will be divided by the participants as the following:

Place Prize
1 $125,000
2 $50,000
3 $25,000 (+$20,000)
4 $15,000
5 $10,000
6 $5,000

Holding format

The holding format of the championship of the BLAST Pro Series will not be changed and is still pretty unusual. All the participants will get into one group where they will play by Round Robin in Bo1 matches. Two best teams will get to the Grand Final and will fight for the biggest part of the prize pool in the Bo3 match while the other participants will take part in BLAST Pro Standoffs.

At BLAST Pro Standoffs, the players will oppose to each other at the duels on different maps and with different weapons. Each of the matches will be held with one of the following weapons: M4A1/M4A1-S, Desert Eagle, AK47, CZ75 and AWP. The first player that will kill opponents seven times will win. The team that will get the biggest amount of kills after the matches will become the winner of BLAST Pro Standoffs and will get a money reward of $20,000.
