The opening match of Worlds 2025 Swiss Stage Round 5 featured CTBC Flying Oyster vs FlyQuest. Both teams were fairly close in skill level and capable of surprising any opponent in the tournament, making this an anticipated showdown. And it certainly lived up to expectations - let’s take a look at the team compositions and key highlights from the series.

Game 1 Picks:

  • CTBC Flying Oyster: Rumble, Xin Zhao, Azir, Corki, Leona
  • FlyQuest: K`Sante, Vi, Taliyah, Jhin, Alistar

Game 2 Picks:

  • CTBC Flying Oyster: Rek`Sai, Trundle, Ryze, Draven, Neeko
  • FlyQuest: Sion, Qiyana, Annie, Lucian, Nami

The first map was tough for both teams. The action didn’t really start until the 15-minute mark, when FlyQuest found an early lead. They moved well across the map, controlling objectives and securing dragons one after another. However, their advantage completely vanished after they took the third dragon but lost four players in the ensuing fight, giving CTBC Flying Oyster a free path to Baron. After that mistake, CFO never let go of control and closed out the game.

The second game started with complete dominance from CFO. FlyQuest initially had no answers but eventually managed to stabilize and even up the score. Still, the gold difference remained in CFO’s favor, as they controlled a larger portion of the map. Then came a crucial fight around the Atahan area, where Doggo on Draven completely tore through FlyQuest - nobody made it out alive. That fight sealed the deal, and CFO confidently secured the 2-0 victory.

With this win, CTBC Flying Oyster advance to the Knockout Stage with a 3-2 record. Unfortunately for FlyQuest and their fans, their Worlds 2025 run ends here - just one step away from the quarterfinals.
