First Stand 2026: Complete Team Lineup Officially Set
Regional qualifiers have concluded, and the full list of teams heading to Sao Paulo (Brazil) for the first international League of Legends tournament of the season - First Stand 2026 - is now known. This is a new event in the esports calendar, designed to open the competitive year before the MSI and Worlds tournaments.
The eight teams that have successfully qualified:
Format and Stakes
The competition will run from March 16th to 22nd. In the group stage (March 16th - 20th), teams will be divided into two groups, from which only the top four teams will advance to the knockout stage (March 21st - 22nd). A distinct feature of the tournament is that absolutely all matches will be played in a best-of-five (Bo5) format using Fearless Draft rules - meaning any champion picked by a team becomes unavailable for them to pick again for the remainder of that series.
In addition to the $1 million prize pool, an important strategic advantage is on the line. The winning region will earn an additional direct slot into the bracket stage at the upcoming MSI 2026.
