The first map started with KC's signature early pressure and map activity. Despite a complex draft, G2 found the right teamfight conditions to slightly turn the game in their favor. KC underestimated G2's Baron push potential, making a crucial mistake by trading their top lane for a bot tier-2 tower. G2 secured several kills inside the enemy base, with Caps stopping Yike's defensive recall, and Shen's ultimate sealing the victory for G2.
On the second map, almost the exact same scenario played out as on the first. A fast start from KC and G2 Esports playing reactively in the early game. However, excellent map movement, a great understanding of their champions' power spikes, and an awareness of the opponent's strength helped G2 not only stay afloat and prevent Karmine Corp from snowballing, but also build up their own advantage. The main mistake KC repeated in this game was that when G2 Esports pushed with the Baron buff, they simply gave up the lane without pressing a single button or trading anything across the map.
KC managed to take control of the third map, but it is worth noting that G2 Esports also made numerous mistakes in this game. Although there were some solid moments, multiple individual misplays led to a point of no return. A fairly easy third map for Karmine Corp.
The fourth map was very close for G2 Esports. They played well around objectives and held the lead for the entire game. However, a single mistake from G2 and a successful engage by Canna cost them the map in just one teamfight, pushing the series to a decisive fifth game for Karmine Corp.
The final map was completely under the control of G2 Esports. A confident draft with plenty of crowd control and damage, excellent zoning, and objective control resulted in a relatively small gold lead. However, thanks to the dragons and the Baron buff, G2 secured an incredible amount of bonus stats, which helped them close out the game in the late game at the 46-minute mark.
G2 Esports become the champions of LEC Versus 2026 and head to First Stand 2026. Caps becomes the MVP of the LEC Versus 2026 Finals.
