Another day of games within the Worlds 2022 has ended in Mexico City. 6 teams played for the passage to the next stage of the World Championship in group A at the Play-In.

The winners of the race were Fnatic , who managed to gain a foothold in the position of the leader of their basket after 4 days and directly qualify for the group stage. The Europeans finished the opening stage with a score of 4-1.

During the run, Fnatic outplayed Evil Geniuses and Chiefs eSports Club on the first game day, DetonatioN FocusMe on the second and Beyond Gaming on the last day of Play-In. The bronze medalists of LEC Summer 2022 made the only mistake in the match of the third day against LOUD .

The second place in group A was taken by EG, who ended their performances with a score of 3-2. “Evil Geniuses” lost to Fnatic and DetonatioN FocusMe in the group stage, after which they were forced to play in tiebreaks for 3 teams. There, EG took revenge on DetonatioN FocusMe and outplayed LOUD.

LOUD with DetonatioN FocusMe also passed the first stage of Worlds 2022. They will start Play-In #2 with the first round of Single-Elimination.

On a sad note, the championship ended for Beyond Gaming and Chiefs Esports Club. If the first managed to pick up 2 points, then the representatives of Oceania did not earn a single point, taking off with a score of 0-5.

Play-In #2 matches start today at 22:00 CET. We are waiting for the first round of 2 fights.
