ESL spoke about their requirements for independent streamers
Ihor MatusESL have released their list of requirements for streamers looking to broadcast ESL One Germany 2020 qualifications on their channels. The main difference from OGA, which also recently published their list of requirements, is the complete absence of any ad integrations.
However, the second difference from OGA was the broadcast latency size. If on OGA Dota PIT Season 3 streamers were supposed to have a delay of 6 minutes or more, then at qualifiers at ESL One Germany 2020 broadcasts should have a 10-minute delay with Dota TV. In addition, according to ESL, anyone wishing to comment on the qualification on their own on their Twitch channel should not pre-register anywhere, but can start this whenever they want, but only if they comply with all the rules established by the tournament operator.
It is important to understand that such loyal rules apply only to the qualifying round for the upcoming championship. Before the start of the main stage, ESL will publish new rules that will have to be followed by people who want to stream.
15 Valve has established a new rule that tournament operators must publish their requirements, and streamers, in turn, will be able to broadcast championships only if they comply with them. For example, an event organizer can ask all streamers to install an advertising integration for themselves and determine how much delay they should have from Dota TV.
