Misha will attend The International 2021 as coach for OG
Ihor MatusThe former Team Spirit player, who played the role of the captain there, became the new head coach of OG. He will attend the main Dota 2 championship of the year with the players and perform with them at the event. The announcement of the beginning of cooperation with Mikhail took place on the OG website.
Tituan 'Sockshka' Merloz, who was previously in the head coach's chair, has moved to the role of assistant coach.
The Europeans said that they have been cooperating with Mikhail for the past three months, and therefore are confident in their choice. For Agatov, being a coach at OG is the first in this role. Previously, Misha played in such lineups as The Pango, Winstrike, Positive Guys and other bands.
OG failed to make it to The Internaitonal 10 by earning the required number of points during the Dota Pro Circuit rating season, but the players subsequently managed to make it to the championship through the qualifying round for teams from Eastern Europe. If OG had not gone to the tournament, they would have lost the opportunity to become the three-time champion of The International. In 2018 and 2019, the team won this event and became the first roster in Dota 2 history to defend the champion title and become a two-time winner of The International.
The International 10 kicks off on October 7 and ends on the 17th. In the capital of Romania, Bucharest, 18 TI10 participants will share a total prize pool of $ 40,000,000. At the moment there is no information on how the prize money will be distributed.
OG will go to the championship with the following roster:
- Sumail 'SumaiL' Hassan
- Topias 'Topson' Taavitsainen
- Sebastian 'Ceb' Debs
- Martin 'Saksa' Sazdov
- Johan 'n0tail' Sundstein
- Mikhail 'Misha' Agatov (coach)
