NAVI Advance to the Playoffs of PGL Wallachia Season 5

From June 21 to June 29, 2025, one of the biggest LAN tournaments of the season — PGL Wallachia Season 5 — is taking place, featuring a prize pool of $1 million. Held just ahead of the Esports World Cup 2025, this tournament offers teams a great opportunity to both prepare for the upcoming event and compete for a substantial prize. Among the 16 participating teams is NAVI, who have successfully advanced to the playoff stage — the focus of this article.

PGL Wallachia Season 5 is structured in two stages: Group Stage and Playoffs. All 16 teams played best-of-three (bo3) matches in the group phase, and the top 8 earned a place in the playoffs. Ukrainian powerhouse NAVI secured an early playoff spot with a solid 3-1 record in the group stage.

It's worth noting that NAVI competed with a slightly updated roster. Thanks to NAVI Junior's successful qualification for both the Esports World Cup 2025 and The International 2025, two players were promoted to the main team for PGL Wallachia Season 5.

In the first round, Natus Vincere defeated Nigma Galaxy 2-1. In the second round, they pulled off a surprise victory over the reigning The International champions — Team Liquid, also 2-1. Although they narrowly lost 1-2 to Team Spirit in the third round, they bounced back with a 2-1 win against BB Team in the fourth round, which ensured their early qualification to the playoff stage of PGL Wallachia Season 5.
