TI 2025: All 16 Teams Confirmed for Dota 2’s Biggest Event

The International 2025 is set to return this fall with the world’s finest Dota 2 teams converging on Hamburg, Germany. This year’s tournament features a refreshed structure following the Wandering Waters update, kicking off with a Swiss stage from September 4–7, followed by a playoff bracket from September 11–14 inside the iconic Barclays Arena. As always, the event will conclude with the Grand Finals, where one squad will claim the coveted Aegis of Champions and a share of the $1.6M+ prize pool.

Qualification for TI 2025 followed a hybrid format: eight teams earned direct invites based on top-tier performances throughout the season, while the remaining eight slots were contested through grueling Regional Qualifiers across all six Dota regions. The qualifiers spanned from early to mid-June, with hundreds of hopefuls aiming to book their ticket to Hamburg. Now that the dust has settled, the full list of 16 contenders is locked in.

Among the qualified teams, several names stand out as early favorites. Team Spirit and Gaimin Gladiators both bring extensive LAN experience and recent championship titles to the table. Team Liquid, still one of the most consistent forces in the scene, remains a serious contender. But what sets this year apart is the surprise emergence of NAVI Junior, who have made history by qualifying for The International — marking the NAVI organization’s first appearance at the event since 2019. With a young roster and growing momentum, their presence adds a fresh storyline to an already stacked tournament.
