The International 2025 Surpasses The International 2024 in Prize Pool
The International 2025 collected over $2.8 million, surpassing the prize pool of The International 2024, which amounted to $2.77 million.
This year’s event finally broke the streak of declining prize pools and may mark the beginning of a new era for Dota 2. As a reminder, the highest prize pool in The International’s history was $40 million in 2021. Since then, the prize pool had been decreasing up to 2025. Although TI 14 raised only slightly more than the previous edition, it is still a significant milestone.
This year’s tournament featured 16 teams. In the grand final, Team Falcons defeated Xtreme Gaming to become champions, earning $1,192,236.
The International 2025 is the main tournament in the Dota 2 discipline, organized by Valve. The initial prize pool of The International amounts to $1,600,000, with the remaining funds being raised through in-game transactions.
