WePlay Academy League: mouz NXT lost against Young Ninjas
Ihor MatusAnother game day of WePlay Academy League Season 1 has come to an end. In it, we were able to see several interesting confrontations with not the most obvious ending. The winners of yesterday's meetings were Astralis Talent, BIG Academy, Young Ninjas and FURIA Academy. NAVI Junior, Fnatic Rising, mouz NXT and VP.Prodigy, in turn, could not perform well enough and were defeated in battle.
How did the matches go?
In the first duel, teams such as Astralis Talent and NAVI Junior faced off against each other. The collectives have identified Vertigo as the field for their battle. The first half was completely dictated by Astralis Talent, as a result of which the Danes took 11 rounds, losing to their opponents 4. They managed to achieve this on the attacking side. After the transition of the sides, NAVI Junior were able to seize the initiative and took 10 rounds in the attack. M0NESY and his teammates were close to victory, but he lacked two rounds to win, and the meeting between Astralis Talent and NAVI Junior ended with a score of 16-14.
In the second match, teams such as BIG Academy and Fnatic Rising faced off against each other. The latter did not come to the fight as a favorite, and this match became somewhat predictable. The teams decided to fight on Overpass. The first half ended with a big advantage towards BIG Academy. The Germans managed to defend their points 12 times, losing only 3 rounds. In the second half of the match, Fnatic Rising played better, but they lacked quite a few rounds to win. The match ended with a score of 16-9. The victory over Fnatic Rising helped BIG Academy solidify its position in the group stage table, while Fnatic Rising is somewhere in the middle.
The Young Ninjas faced off against mouz NXT on Mirage in the third fight of yesterday's game day. Surprisingly, the novices of the "Young Ninja" academy defeated one of the main favorites of the event in the person of mouz NXT. The first half ended 10-5 in favor of the Young Ninjas. The academic roster of NiP started on the defensive side, and after the transition, continue to put pressure on his opponents, not conceding a single round to mouz NXT in the second half of the battle. As a result, the battle ended with a score of 16-5.
VP.Prodigy almost managed to please their fans with a victory over FURIA Academy, but they still upset the fans. They, just like BIG Academy together with Fnatic Rising, decided to fight the Brazilians on the Overpass map. The whole match was quite balanced and it was difficult to single out any favorite in it. The first half started for VP.Prodigy on the attacking side and the latter managed to realize their potential in eight rounds. In the second half, they defended the points from FURIA Academy and the Brazilians showed how to attack correctly on this map. As a result, the players from VP.Prodigy lacked only three rounds to defeat their opponents, and the match ended with a result of 16-13.
