StarLadder announces how the group stage draw was made at StarLadder CIS RMR 2021
Ihor MatusSergey 'Megion' Ignatko asked a question to StarLadder representatives about how the draw was made at the RMR tournament for the CIS. He asked if the tournament operator was following the HLTV world rankings or whether StarLadder was looking at the results of the last RMR competition. The answer from the tournament operator was not long in coming. StarLadder judge Egor 'pANda' Kolomiets said that the tournament operator acted in accordance with Valve's regulations, which states that it is necessary to refer to the current rating of teams according to Valve themselves, and not side publications. Valve's rating refers to the current RMR table.
- Did you draw using the HLTV rating or the results of the last RMR tournament?
- Neither one nor the other. Team invitations and seeding groups are done according to Valve Rating (RMR). As part of Valve events, all tournament operators are required to use Valve ratings, which you will strictly follow.
