FaZe Clan Qualify for ESL Pro League Season 22 Playoffs After 2-1 Win Over Aurora

FaZe Clan secured a playoff spot at ESL Pro League Season 22 after defeating Aurora 2-1 on October 8, 2025, in Stockholm, Sweden. The final Swiss round match determined the last playoff contender, with FaZe surviving elimination and Aurora exiting the tournament.

The best-of-three series began on Mirage, FaZe’s map pick, where they dominated 13–8 behind strong play from Helvijs “ broky ” Saukants. Aurora responded on Train, taking a commanding 13–2 victory led by Samet “ jottAAA ” Köklü, who posted a 1.55 rating across the series. The decider, Dust2, was tightly contested, but FaZe prevailed 13–10 to clinch the series 2-1.

Ahead of the tournament, Twistzz rejoined the team, having previously played for FaZe from 2021 to 2023. During that period, the roster earned several major trophies, including ESL Pro League Season 17 and IEM Katowice 2022.

David “ frozen ” Čerňanský was named Player of the Match with 48.8% of the votes, contributing 44 kills and an 84 ADR. Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken and broky provided key mid-round impact for FaZe, while Ismailcan “ XANTARES ” Dörtkardeş led Aurora with 51 kills and a 1.36 rating.
