Falcons eliminate MOUZ and advance to the ESL Pro League Season 22 Grand Final
Falcons became the first finalists of ESL Pro League Season 22, defeating MOUZ 2:0 (16:13 on Inferno, 13:7 on Ancient). Despite a strong start from the “mice,” the French-Arab lineup showed resilience, coming back on the first map and confidently closing out the second. The main hero of the series was m0NESY, who led Falcons to victory with decisive frags and consistent AWP play.
Inferno (13:16 Falcons)
The first quarterfinal match between MOUZ and Falcons started on Inferno, MOUZ’s map pick. They dominated early on, taking six rounds in a row. However, Falcons surprised fans by staging a comeback, winning six rounds in response. Falcons reached map point at 12:10, but MOUZ managed to push the game into overtime. The extra rounds didn’t last long—Falcons denied MOUZ any chance for a comeback and closed the map 16:13.
Ancient (7:13 Falcons)
The second map of the series was Ancient. Both teams traded rounds early, and the first half ended with a slight advantage for Falcons at 7:5. Switching to the T side, MOUZ failed to execute their strategies effectively. After Falcons reached match point, MOUZ managed to take only two rounds before Falcons sealed the deal with a 13:7 victory.
Match MVP
The best player of the match was Falcons’ sniper m0NESY. He frequently secured opening kills, creating space for his team’s unconventional plays, and won two clutch rounds. Across both maps, he recorded ADR – 83.2, Swing +5.35%, and a 1.39 rating.
After the match, xertioN shared his thoughts on Twitter:
Despite the loss, MOUZ’s journey in the tournament isn’t over yet. They will face the loser of Vitality vs FaZe in the third-place match. Falcons, on the other hand, move on to the grand final to face the winner of FaZe vs Vitality.
The main stage of ESL Pro League Season 22 runs from October 4 to 12, with the champion earning $100,000 for the team and an additional $150,000 for the organization.
